They just wanted to dig themselves out of the financial hole they were in, grow their wealth, replace their income and enjoy a lifestyle of freedom and abundance.
At 54, Raelene is a proud mother of four daughters, a son-in-law, and a soon-to-arrive grandchild — a role she looks forward to with equal parts excitement and humour. “I’m quite happy not to have grandchildren just yet, daughters!” she teased, her sparkling personality lighting up the room.
Raelene’s life has been anything but conventional. From an early age, she was driven by a deep sense of purpose. Inspired by caring for her grandfather as a teenager, she fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse. But that was just the beginning. Over the years, she wore many hats, including those of a teacher, trainer, and farmer. Raelene even co-owned a hire company with her then-husband. “There were a lot of hats and all of them shaped who I am today,” she said with a smile.
Through it all, Raelene displayed a boundless energy that made her a force of nature. Yet, underneath her accomplishments, there was a woman who was still searching for her true self and a sense of stability. Life had thrown curveballs her way, but Raelene had always managed to face them head-on.
Little did she know, the biggest transformation was just around the corner.
“I was never going to do anything. I was just going to sit there and let my money dwindle away.”
Before discovering the Ultimate Real Estate Success Coaching and Mentoring Program and the I Love Real Estate (ILRE) community, Raelene was at her lowest. Despite her vibrant personality, she described herself as unhealthy, stressed, and financially fearful. “I was in a job I enjoyed but earning only $30 an hour on a casual basis. I was terrified the money I had would just disappear,” she admitted. This constant fear of scarcity had turned her into a “robot,” moving through life without joy or purpose.
Raelene’s health reflected the toll of this stress. She developed cardiomyopathy, a heart condition exacerbated by her relentless worry. Her relationships were also strained. Post-divorce, she struggled to hold onto connections, describing her reality as being “all about the ones that got away.” Financially, she had equity in property but lacked the confidence to use it. “I was never going to do anything. I was just going to sit there and let my money dwindle away,” she confessed.
The hardest part? Facing herself. Raelene called herself a “quitter” who repeatedly made mistakes without learning from them. “I was my own harshest critic,” she reflected. Life felt heavy, and the spark that once defined her seemed like a distant memory.
In February 2022, Raelene stumbled upon a Facebook ad that would change her life forever. She signed up for an I Love Real Estate webinar on a whim. That night, as she watched the presentation, something clicked. “It was like the universe was speaking directly to me,” she recalled.
Fuelled by hope and desperation, Raelene made a bold decision — she signed up for the ILRE Ultimate Real Estate Success Coaching Program, maxing out her credit card to do so. “That’s all I had left and I put it all on the line,” she said.
Determined to turn her life around, Raelene dove headfirst into the Education and Community. She attended webinars, sought advice from coaches, and began unraveling the beliefs that had held her back. Though overwhelmed at first, she found herself inspired by the stories of others who had transformed their lives.
“If they could do it, maybe I could too.”
This initial step into the Ultimate Coaching wasn’t just about learning strategies, it was about reigniting her sense of possibility. It was the beginning of a journey that would not only rebuild her finances but also reshape her life entirely. Raelene’s spark of hope was about to ignite into a full-blown fire of transformation.
Raelene didn’t just dip her toes into the world of real estate; she jumped in with both feet. Not long after signing up for the Ultimate Coaching Program, Raelene joined the high-level Platinum Accelerator Coaching Program and committed herself to attending every boot camp, webinar and coaching session she could find. But diving headfirst into the world of property strategies wasn’t without its challenges. “I didn’t even know what a Feaso was!” she admitted, laughing at her early confusion.
The initial overwhelm was real. Raelene was bombarded with new terms, strategies, and expectations, but she kept going. “I’d get confused talking to one coach and then call another one to clarify,” she joked. Slowly but surely, she began to piece everything together. The key was her persistence. “At first, I thought, ‘Should I just do this over Zoom?’ But I was told to get there in person if I could. So, I went, and it made all the difference.”
What stood out for Raelene was the support system she found in the ILRE community. She bonded with peers and gravitated towards mentors whose energy inspired her. “I sat with one of your success story winners for a whole day, and her humility just blew me away,” Raelene shared. The community became her safety net, a place where she could ask questions without judgment and celebrate her small victories. It was here that Raelene learned not just the practical strategies but also the emotional tools to overcome her fears and take control of her financial future.
Raelene’s journey was more than learning, it was about putting all that knowledge into action. One of her first wins was transforming her modest two-bedroom unit into a profitable Airbnb. “I bought it for cash back in 2019, and at first, I wasn’t sure what to do with it,” she explained. With the encouragement of her coaches, Raelene gave Airbnb a shot. “I tried it while I went to Cambodia, and it worked! Now it’s a full-time Airbnb and I’m a super host.”
Her success didn’t stop there. Raelene tackled a challenging subdivision project with determination and creativity. Despite council roadblocks and zoning restrictions, she persevered. “I had to learn to stop saying it’s impossible until I’d fully investigated it,” she said. With the help of her coaches and an A-team of professionals, Raelene turned her skepticism into progress, laying the groundwork for a significant uplift in property value.
Perhaps her most remarkable feat was the $95,000 house flip. “I followed everything I’d been taught—getting early access, negotiating the deposit, and staging it just right,” she said. The property, a deceased estate, sold for $240,000, yielding a life-changing profit. But there was a lesson hidden in this success. “I realised I didn’t feel deserving of that much profit. It was like I was blocking it,” Raelene admitted. A meditation session helped her clear those limiting beliefs, and the sale was finalised. Each of these wins wasn’t just a financial boost; it was a testament to her growth and newfound confidence.
While Raelene’s real estate successes were impressive, her emotional journey was equally transformative. A pivotal chapter in her story unfolded during her solo travels in Tasmania. What began as a two-week getaway stretched into eight months of solitude, reflection, and healing. “One of the coaches had said I didn’t have self-worth, and I thought, ‘That’s not me!’ But in Tasmania, I realised they were right,” she shared.
Raelene spent her days hiking breathtaking trails like Cradle Mountain and the Walls of Jerusalem, finding peace in nature’s embrace. The solitude forced her to confront her inner dialogue and redefine her relationship with herself. “I realised I didn’t feel safe in my own mind. My self-talk was harsh, and I was constantly trying to appease the little girl inside me who hadn’t gotten the attention she needed,” Raelene reflected. This time alone allowed her to heal those wounds and replace self-criticism with self-love.
Her travels weren’t just about introspection. They restored her faith in humanity. “I’d pull into towns and find people offering me a place to stay or sharing salmon they’d caught the day before. It was a beautiful reminder of the kindness in the world,” she said. By the end of her journey, Raelene had found not only peace but also a renewed sense of purpose, ready to tackle life with strength and grace.
For Raelene, success wasn’t just about financial gains—it was about finding ways to give back. Her trips to Cambodia stand out as a defining chapter in her journey. Initially, she traveled there to build houses, but she quickly found herself drawn to the deeper purpose of contributing to the well-being of the local community. “I went to Cambodia last year, thinking I’d just help build houses, but I ended up nursing the locals and connecting with the children. It was so much more than I expected,” she said.
The experience was emotionally overwhelming at first. Visiting the Killing Fields and learning about the atrocities of Cambodia’s past shook her to the core. “How could humanity do that?” she wondered. “It broke me. I left part of my heart there.” However, this heartbreak was the beginning of her healing. She returned a second time, this time as a nurse with a clear mission.
“I realised I was meant to be there. I saw restoration, not just brokenness and I knew I was part of something much bigger than myself.”
These trips reignited Raelene’s passion for nursing and showed her the power of collective impact. “I’m so excited to go back every year. It’s no longer just about helping; it’s about being part of the restoration of hope,” she shared. Cambodia became a symbol of both her resilience and her ability to make a difference. The joy she found in giving back reminded her of the kindness and connection that define her purpose.
Raelene’s transformation didn’t just change her life—it created a ripple effect that reached her family and community. Her daughters, inspired by their mother’s determination, began achieving incredible milestones of their own. “My girls are amazing,” she said with pride. “One of them just completed an Ironman in New Zealand, another stepped into leadership in netball and one is already on her second property at just 23 years old.”
The positive energy Raelene exuded became contagious. “As goes the leader, so goes the group,” she reflected, acknowledging how her growth empowered her daughters to pursue their own goals. Her youngest, Ruby, even started selling cans and bottles to fund her own trip to Cambodia. “She’s just catching the energy. It’s amazing to see her stepping up and setting her own goals.”
Raelene also extended this impact to her local community. She built a supportive network of like-minded individuals, forming small groups for dinners and coffee. “I love fostering connections,” she said. “It’s about building a tribe where everyone lifts each other up.” Whether it was through mentoring others in the ILRE community or creating meaningful friendships in her hometown, Raelene proved that transformation is never just personal—it’s communal.
Raelene’s journey is a masterclass in resilience and self-discovery, and she’s not shy about sharing what she’s learned. For her, overcoming limiting beliefs was key. “I had to stop saying things were impossible before I even tried,” she admitted. By replacing doubt with curiosity, she unlocked doors she never thought she could open.
“The biggest barrier wasn’t the deals or the numbers — it was me.”
Embracing vulnerability was another cornerstone of her growth. “I’ve learned that it’s okay to cry, to ask for help, and to lean on others,” she shared. Through the ILRE community, Raelene discovered the power of consistency and mentorship. “I needed people to believe in me before I could believe in myself,” she said. The unwavering support of her coaches and peers gave her the courage to keep going.
To anyone standing where she once stood, Raelene has a simple message: “If I can do it, so can you!” Her story is a testament to the transformative power of action, community, and self-belief. “Life’s not a race,” she said. “But when you find your purpose, everything changes. You just have to take that first step.”
Raelene’s journey of transformation is far from over—in fact, she feels like it’s just beginning. After achieving financial stability and personal growth, she has her sights set on even bigger dreams. Real estate continues to play a central role in her future, with a focus on joint ventures and creative projects. “Joint ventures are the way forward for me,” she explained. “I’ve had a few almosts, but I’m ready now. I’ve recognised that I needed to trust myself with my money first, and now I can trust myself with someone else’s.”
One of her immediate goals is to complete her ongoing subdivision project, which has already taught her invaluable lessons about teamwork and perseverance. “I’ve got the plans in place, and the build quotes are coming in. It’s all happening,” she said with excitement. Beyond this, Raelene is on the lookout for more deals that align with her newfound confidence and skills.
“I’m not afraid to make bold offers anymore. If the numbers don’t stack up, I adjust and keep going.”
But Raelene’s vision extends beyond real estate. She dreams of creating a life filled with purpose, contribution, and adventure. Cambodia remains a big part of her heart, and she plans to continue her annual trips to support the community there. “I’m committed to being part of the RAW First Aid Team for the long term,” she said, noting that her youngest daughter, Ruby, plans to join her on future missions.
As Raelene reflects on how far she’s come, she’s filled with gratitude for the ILRE community. “This tribe believed in me before I believed in myself,” she said. The lessons she’s learned from her mentors, peers, and coaches have given her the tools to dream bigger than ever before. “I never thought I’d say this, but I actually love myself now. That deep self-love—it changes everything.”
Raelene’s final figures are a testament to her hard work and determination. She now has approximately $2 million in equity and a passive income of $67,000 per year from her properties. “It’s not just about the numbers,” she said. “The biggest journey has been the one inside. I’ve faced fears, healed old wounds, and built a life I’m proud of. And the best part? It’s only the beginning.”
Her message to anyone reading her story is one of hope and empowerment. “Set your peg in the sand, take that first step, and don’t stop. You are capable of so much more than you think.” With her unwavering determination and a heart full of gratitude, Raelene is ready to embrace whatever comes next—and she encourages others to do the same.
