He came across the ILRE community when his mother Gloria joined up and (with his help) turned her life around. When they announced the 2017 Property Games, Baris was canvassing everyone he could, trying to get a spot.
In the end, Baris’ ambition got the better of him. While other students kept themselves focused on the deals at hand, Baris kept the fires burning on multiple fronts. He tried to squeeze in an extra semester of University to keep his business degree ticking over and he did a short stint as a stock-broker, before realising that property was probably a better fit.
Not to say that he walks away completely empty handed. Baris spent several months working on a one into two subdivision, that while it had hit a few stumbling blocks, still looks set to deliver a profit of about $35,000 on the deal.
Not bad for a gig on the side.
