Are you accountable for your actions?

I can’t believe that the first week of my iLoveRealEstate.tv Aussie tour is already behind me.

On the one hand, it feels just like yesterday that I was on my British holiday. On the other, it feels like I never left!

But that’s the way of it all, isn’t it? Time gets by us quickly; quicker every day, it seems. Of course, I’m speaking only for myself in that regard, but when you’re busy, the time just seems to fly by.

Leverage your time!

Still, it brings me to the point of this E-letter, which is not to waste the most precious asset you have in the entire world. No, it’s not the splitter you may doing in Victoria or the granny flat you’re adding to your PPR to bring in more passive income.

Of course, it’s your time that I’m talking about. You need to leverage your time as much as you can to achieve your goals quickly and keep yourself motivated.

I want to talk about this today because as I travel from place to place and look at my schedule, it amazes me just how much I can fit in every day.

Plan your daily activities carefully…

As an investor, you have to be very wise and careful about maximizing your investment capital, but the same applies to your own investment of time. In fact, time really isn’t money, as the old saying goes. It’s much more important than that!

Think about it for a moment. Theoretically, you can earn as much passive income as you want, forever and ever.

But what are you limited by?

Not money. You can certainly get into many cash cows with no investment capital of your own. You know how to do this. Or, if you’re a new iLoveRealEstate.tv student, you will certainly learn how to do it in the very near future.

Your time, however, is very limited. Time is the one limitation we all share. Each of us only gets so much of it and no more. When it’s gone, it’s gone.

Have a sense of urgency!

That’s why YOU NEED TO HAVE A SENSE OF URGENCY IN REACHING YOUR GOALS.

Now, I realize that I often say that your transition to replacing your job with passive income through real estate investing is not a race. And believe me, it isn’t. You are not in competition with anyone.

We all are starting from different places in our lives, in our circumstances and in regard to our resources. So it isn’t a race.

But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be working toward your goals with a certain sense of urgency. By that I surely don’t mean you should be running around in a constant state of stressful give-yourself-a-heart-attack-urgency. There’s no sense in doing that, no matter what your boss at your current job tells you.

On the flip side of that, you must avoid the trap of not having a schedule to follow every day. If you don’t give yourself a schedule to follow every day, then you don’t have a daily plan to move you forward. Your daily schedule is your daily road map to measuring your daily progress in meeting the goals you have set for yourself.

Your daily schedule is your road map to success

Without your daily schedule of tasks for you to complete in a timely manner, there’s no accountability for your actions, is there?

When there’s no accountability, there’s no progress measured. A lack of a daily schedule quickly leads to a lack of direction on your part. That is how you DON’T succeed in meeting your goals.

What I’m REALLY talking about is a focused effort to move forward, to get your daily tasks done. You want to be highly motivated to complete those tasks that need to get done before you can get your first deal done. As the driving force in changing your life direction, you have to be your own driving force.

Carefully control your schedule

As the driving force in your life and in your success, YOU AND NO ONE ELSE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR STAYING FOCUSED. No one else can do that for you.

That said, there are steps you can take to keep you focused and motivated. The best thing you can do for yourself is to surround yourself with like-minded people. When you spend time with people who are on the same journey as you, your motivation is elevated, your focus is clear and your knowledge, resources and opportunities multiply.

That is why you find so many successful iLoveRealEstate.tv members coming back again and again to my Boot Camps and Seminars. More deals, more JV partnerships and investors are found in iLoveRealEstate.tv events than anywhere else!

Behave like the person you want to become!

You know, there’s an interesting social phenomenon to consider, and it has to do with how we spend our time and whom we spend it with.

Each of us tends to adapt to the social and business level of success in which we place ourselves.

This is very important. Highly successful people structure their day carefully and treat their time as an extremely valuable commodity. They are also careful to spend their time with people who can help them get where the want to go.

You should be doing exactly the same thing…

See you at my next event!
